Livengood Motor Sports takes the win at Atlanta Dragway
Michael Tlapa had a stellar weekend in the Summit Racing Series at Atlanta Dragway on 5/19/12. Coming off of a semi-final finish and a runner-up in the prior two races he finally took the stripe for his first win since he started racing in 2010.
It was a hard earned win at that. The competition at Atlanta Dragway is stiff, consisting of last year’s Summit Champion Tim Sutton, Jimmy “Cha Cha” Heisler who is quite possibly one of the best foot shifting ZX600 ET racers in the country having won two first place finishes in the AMA Dragbike Pro ET class on a sportbike as well as taking the AMA Dragbike Street ET Championship in 2009, Don Chavous, Howard Bowman, Brian and Michael Wilson, and “J-Bird” Rhyne 5 time Wally trophy winner as well as a 5 time Atlanta Dragway track …

Jim Cohrs of Cohrs Motorsports to chase the AMA East Supersport Championship with Livengood Motor Sports as the major sponsor for 2012.
Cohrs expects the momentum from multiple CCS and WERA championships earned in 2011 to translate into 2012 AMA Supersport success. Congratulations to Jim Cohrs (5) and Mark Miller (777) with AWESOME results during the 2011 Race of Champions at Daytona! They rode their Livengood Motor Sports Yamaha R6 built Engines through the banks at Daytona International Speedway coming away with 3 National Championships!
